The ASICS Gel-Resolution X Padel is the padel build of ASICS' most stable court shoe, made for women who defend from the back of the court and change direction hard. This colourway is amethyst purple with illuminate green accents, one of the brighter options in our women's range, and it works well with black or white kit.
ASICS builds the stability in from the outside. DYNAWALL technology runs from the arch round into the heel in a U shape to stop the foot rolling on lateral moves, the DYNAFIT upper flexes with the foot rather than fighting it, and DYNALACING holds the midfoot tight through quick transitions. PGUARD reinforcement sits on the inside of the forefoot, which is where padel players wear through a shoe first. Cushioning comes from an FF BLAST PLUS foam midsole with GEL in the forefoot for a softer footstrike, and the AHARPLUS rubber outsole is full length with a separated heel for steadier landings. ASICS pitches it at players who like to control the game from the baseline.
It comes in a B standard width. Testers at SportsShoes found it fits about half a size large, so if you are between sizes, go down. Better still, come and try it against the Solution Speed in the shop in Aintree and feel the difference in stability for yourself.
