The HEAD Radical Team Light 2026 is the lightest racket in the Radical range, made for beginners and improving intermediates who play a tactical game and want easy handling and comfort. It is a popular choice with women and with men who want a light, accessible racket that does not load the wrist or elbow.
The shape is round, which puts the sweet spot in the middle of the face and makes it more generous, so mishits are less punishing while you are still grooving your contact. The hitting surface is fibreglass rather than carbon, which gives a softer feel, more flex and more feedback through the ball for control and confidence. The core is Comfort Foam, HEAD's soft foam that damps vibration and adds to the plush feel. Auxetic 2.0 in the frame improves the connection with the ball on impact. At 340 grams it is light enough to move quickly and to play a long session without fatigue, and the profile is a standard 38 mm.
This is the racket we suggest for players who have had a few lessons and want to build a control based game rather than swing for power. It sits above the Vibe in feel and finish. Come and try it in the shop in Aintree, and if you are choosing between this and a carbon faced racket like the Bas3line Nebula we can put both in your hand.
