The adidas Control 2026 in black with grey and white detailing is the sensible one. A 35 litre racket bag for the player who takes one racket, a pair of shoes and a change of top to the court and does not want to carry a duffel the size of a suitcase to do it.
The layout is simple. A large central compartment takes shoes, clothing and a towel, and a side pocket holds your racket on its own so it is not knocking against everything else and is quick to pull out at the court. The fabric is 100% recycled 600D polyester with a PU coating, which is the same idea as the pricier adidas bags: the coating keeps damp out and stops the fabric scuffing, and the lighter inner lining keeps the overall weight down. At 56 x 42 x 18 cm it is slim enough to sit in a footwell or on a train luggage rack.
It is a good first bag for someone who has just bought their first racket and has been turning up with a carrier bag, and a good second bag for a regular player who wants something lighter for midweek sessions. If you carry two rackets or want thermal lining, look at the adidas Protour instead. Both are in the shop in Aintree, so come and have a feel of them.
